Mobile Phone App
The GoI70 mobile phone interface is a lite version of many of the key features of GoI70.com including the Messages social network, current highway speeds, CDOT traffic cameras, ski reports and our travel blog. You can reach these pages by going to http://GoI70.com/mobile on your mobile phone browser.
On the Messages page you can read all the messages sent to the GoI70 social network. This includes road condition alerts, recent delay notifications and messages from other I-70 travelers.
You can also send messages to GoI70 from your phone by Signing In and entering text in the the box and clicking “Update.” Join by going to GoI70 on you computer or mobile phone and click on “Sign in With Twitter.” If you already have a Twitter account, you only need to enter your screen name and password. If you are new to Twitter, there is a simple and direct sign up procedure that will take only a few minutes.
The Traffic Delays give current and expected travel times between key exits. Times are given for both east bound and west bound travel.
CDOT’s traffic cams are available as well and are arranged so that you can tour the cameras one after another in same the sequence that you will drive on the highway.
We will keep you posted on the upcoming weekend’s travel forecast and many other things on our blog. You can check it out on your computer or from the mobile on your phone.
Please use the GoI70 mobile phone application responsibly. Do NOT text while you are driving!
GoI70 wants you to have a great trip and to live to talk about it. If you are driving keep your eyes on the road. Give your phone to a passenger.
If you are driving alone, pull over before you pull out the Blackberry or the iPhone. The most important information about your trip is right in front of you. You can text us at the next exit.
The studies are clear: texting while driving is extremely dangerous. In fact, we think it is criminally stupid. If you are texting and driving when something goes wrong there will be an irrefutable record of your negligence.
thanks for putting this together. It was really needed and it is already helpful. Keep it up!
Thanks Seth,
We’re really excited to see people using it and getting value from it.
Cheers!
