Explore Colorado with Bustang Outrider’s Denver to Craig Route

The Colorado Department of Transportation’s Bustang Outrider service is making it easier than ever to travel across the state with eight routes connecting rural Colorado to major cities. The Denver-Craig route is a convenient, affordable and reliable way to explore all that northwestern Colorado has to offer.

Whether you’re commuting, visiting family or setting out on a mountain getaway, the Denver-Craig route offers daily service with stops in Denver Union Station, the Denver Federal Center (Lakewood), Idaho Springs, Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Craig.  Along with scheduled stops, the route includes flag stops in Empire, Parshall and Milner, where passengers can board or disembark upon request. 

The route operates seven days a week, including holidays. Fares are reasonably priced based on the distance traveled. For example, traveling from Craig to Hayden is $3, while the full trip from Craig to Denver Union Station in Denver (or vice versa) is $34. Tickets are half price for those 65 years and older, 11 years and younger, or for individuals with disabilities. 

Outrider coaches are equipped with a restroom, bike racks, free WiFi (where available), power outlets and USB ports. Each Outrider coach seats 38 and is handicap accessible.
