Updated Holiday Travel Forecast!

Expect lots of travelers on I-70 during this timeframe! Light snow is expected Saturday night into Sunday.

Tues, Dec 26-Moderate westbound volumes are likely all day.  The heaviest traffic is likely to occur from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  Eastbound traffic is possible from 2:00-7:00 p.m.

Wed, Dec 27- Expect heavy westbound traffic from 6:00-Noon, with peak delays around 8:00 a.m.  Eastbound delays are likely in the 2:00-7:00 p.m. timeframe.

Thurs, Dec 28-Be prepared for westbound slowing 6:00-11:00 a.m.  Last year eastbound, traffic started at 2:00 p.m., peaked around 5:00 and ended about 7:00 p.m. 

Fri, Dec 29- Anticipate westbound slowing 6:00-11:00 a.m. and eastbound traffic in the 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. timeframe.

Sat, Dec 30- Expect congestion westbound 6:00 a.m. until early afternoon.  Eastbound volumes will be high from early afternoon and until around 6:00 p.m.  

Sun, Dec 31- Be prepared for moderate to heavy traffic in BOTH westbound and eastbound directions today.  Last year westbound, traffic started at 2 p.m. and increased up until 9 p.m.  Last year eastbound, delays began at Noon and steadily increased until 9 p.m.  There is a chance for light snow this day.

Mon, Jan 1- This will be a big travel day.   Anticipate westbound slowing up until Noon, and eastbound delays could begin by 1:00 p.m. and continue through early evening. 

Tues, Jan 2-Eastbound traffic is possible from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
