The Weekend Travel Forecast:
Snow is in the forecast for Friday along the I-70 corridor.   Travel outside the peak times outlined below to avoid I-70 traffic!

Friday WB – Traffic will likely be heavy from 4:00-8:00 p.m., but in recent years it only added about 10 minutes to the trip.  Be prepared for snow and slower travel.

Saturday WB – Expect heavy traffic from 6:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Last year drivers experienced one hour of extra travel time between C470 and Frisco.  The worst of the traffic will occur right around 8:00 a.m.  Check the road conditions at www.CoTrip.org before you hit the road.

Saturday EB- Traffic should be expected between 3:00 and 6:30 pm.  Plan to leave after 7:00 pm to avoid traffic volume.

Sunday WB – Traffic is possible between 6:30-9:30 a.m., with the peak of the traffic occurring at 8:00 a.m.

Sunday EB – The X Games in Aspen end Sunday which means higher-than-normal eastbound volume. Plan for moderate to heavy traffic to develop around 11:30 a.m., reach its peak between 4:00-5:00, and taper off soon after 8:00 pm.  Last year, traffic resulted in an additional 45 minutes of travel time between Frisco and C470 but volumes might be higher this year.
