Two Storms Arriving This Weekend!
Full credit for this weekend’s weather forecast goes to our friends at OpenSnow.com: “Snow returns on Thursday night, with higher snow levels and periods of very heavy snow through Saturday morning. Followed by a slight break on Saturday, an even stronger storm will arrive on Saturday night and deliver healthy totals through Monday morning. Additional storms in the works for next week.”
The good news is that the ski season isn’t over yet, but expect slower travel through the mountain corridor this weekend!
Friday WB –Traffic volume is not expected to be an issue. Be prepared for winter driving.
Saturday WB –Slowing due to volume and weather is possible from 6:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Saturday EB- Skier traffic from 3:00-5:00 p.m. is possible, and keep an eye on the weather and road conditions at CoTrip.org.
Sunday EB – Last year on this Sunday there were volume-related delays between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. that resulted in 30 minutes extra travel time from Frisco to C470. With snow in the forecast, be prepared for slower travel this year.
Have a great weekend!
