Weekend Travel Forecast

Traffic volume has not been significant on this weekend in the past three years but to avoid delays, the anticipated peak traffic times are outlined below.  Weather will be a travel factor with a weak system bringing snow Friday night into Saturday.

Friday WB –In recent years there were minor delays due to volume between 5:00 and 7:15 p.m.

Saturday WB- Traffic congestion is likely from 6:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.  Last year, travelers experienced an extra 15 minutes of travel time (C470 to Frisco) with peak delays occurring around 8:00 a.m.  Snowy roads could further slow traffic.

Saturday EB- While the volume of traffic is not expected to be significant, there could be some slowing during the 3:00-6:00 p.m. timeframe and snow is in the forecast.

Sunday EB– Last year there were delays of 25 minute between 11:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. with the heaviest traffic occurring between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. Weather could be a factor Sunday night so check CDOT’s or dial 511 to learn road conditions before you leave.
