Beginning on April 23, CDOT launched its updated email and text message travel alerts, in order to share more information with their users. According to their brief, travel alerts will now provide greater detail about the incidents that impact Colorado motorists’ driving and travel conditions. Each message will now contain a link that, when clicked, will provide the full details of incidents, as well as a map showing the incidents’ exact location. Users can also find information about all current travel impacts by logging into CDOT’s alert site and selecting any of the following menu options: Traffic & Travel; Oversize/Overweight; Commercial Chain Law. CDOT says these alert system improvements are in response to user feedback – so please, keep your feedback coming!
