This summer season we have gotten lots of questions about construction on and near I-70. Earlier in the summer we discussed the westbound peak period shoulder lanes, but that is just one of several projects that are worth watching out for and planning around. Below is a list of projects that may be impacting your high country travels.
I-70 Bridge from Stanley Road to Fall River Road in Clear Creek County
US 6 Improvements Over Loveland Pass
Silver Plume Westbound On-Ramp Sound Wall
Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels Asphalt Repairs
For specific project information, check out https://www.codot.gov/projects/i70mtn where you can sign up for the project e-Newsletter, receive travel alerts, or email specific questions to cdot_wbppslproject@state.co.us. You can also find the most up-to-date information at cotrip.org, by navigating to the 'Interactive Map' selecting 'Road Work' and looking for the orange cones.
Construction information is an important part of 'know before you go,' and we will be linking these resources to upcoming travel forecasts.
