The Colorado Department of Transportation released $600,000 worth of grant funding to Colorado communities to help reduce congestion and carbon emissions. The I-70 Coalition is one of 12 grant recipients and will receive $49,000 to expand access to website and video resources for Spanish speaking audiences in addition to creating new educational resources in English.
Specifically, we will produce five videos that educate on I-70 mountain corridor state/regional/local transit options and I-70 travel tips with one video in Spanish. We will also enhance our website by creating a new web page on GoI70.com that provides I-70 travel information and travel tips in Spanish.
We want smart travel along the I-70 mountain corridor to be inclusive to all, which is why we are focused on expanding our reach to all users of the roadway. We anticipate work to begin in late spring, with all resources to be complete and shared by the end of 2023.
