The Colorado Department of Transportation is re-launching its popular bus service, Snowstang, Saturday, Dec. 16, for the 2023-2024 ski season – providing transit alternatives to some of the state’s best ski destinations. Snowstang offers roundtrip express bus service to five resorts including Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, Loveland Ski Area, Steamboat Springs, and Town of Breckenridge & Breckenridge Ski Resort.
To celebrate the launch for this ski season, individuals who use the promo code LAUNCH23 now through the end of the year will receive 25% off their tickets (must purchase and travel by Dec. 31, 2023). Roundtrip tickets are $25 for A-Basin, Breckenridge, Copper and Loveland, while Steamboat roundtrip tickets are $40. Additional discounts are available for seniors, and children ages 2 to 11 ride for $12.50 with a full-fare paying adult.
The service operates every Saturday, Sunday and Monday holidays through early May 2024. All routes board at Denver’s Union Station, Denver Federal Center in Lakewood, and a passenger stop at Wooly Mammoth Lot near the I-70 at Morrison/Red Rocks exit located at 18560 US 40, Golden, CO 8040, providing a location for carpoolers and others to leave their vehicles at another convenient location.
Snowstang coaches carry 51 passengers, are climate controlled, have Wi-Fi, a restroom, and USB and power outlets. To purchase tickets and view schedules and routes, visit www.ridebustang.com. The service initially launched in December 2019.
