CARPOOL PARKING
Dinosaur Lots in Golden
The Dinosaur Lots are an ideal place to begin and end a carpool. Located at the Morrison exit (#259) and I-70, on the west side of Denver. (ADDRESS FOR MAPPING: 18560 US Hwy 40, Golden CO 80401). Overnight parking is allowed but cars cannot left for an extended period of time.
There are three separate lots. The Woolly Mammoth is the large, newer lot and has plenty of lighting. Woolly Mammoth Lot with 918 spots is where most skiers tend to meet up. The T-Rex Lot has 156 spots and the Stegosaurus has 117 spots. The T-Rex has no lighting at all so is not ideal for nighttime use. There are occasional car break-ins so be aware of what you leave in your car.
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area
On weekends and holidays from December to May, every vehicle is required to make a paid parking reservation to support a smoother arrival experience during peak season. Keystone Resort
Skiers and riders who arrive with four or more people in a car can park in a premier parking section in Keystone’s River Run Free Lot which is a short walk to the River Run Gondola. Carpool parking is limited and first come, first serve. Click here for details.
